LGBTQ+ Activist

Growing up in as an LGBTQ+ community member in a conservative Christian environment poses some interesting challenges. I take any opportunity I can to help create space and acceptance for those that are navigating this ~*fun*~ journey!

Check out a podcast I was on by clicking the link below (but only if you promise to listen at double speed).

2-Time LOTOJA Finisher

Logan, UT to Jackson, WY

Road cycling! I have completed the longest USA Cycling sanctioned race in the United States twice because of some incredible friends and a great support team! Some day I hope to be on the podium!

Marathon-er

St. George, UT 2019 and Los Angeles, CA 2025(!!)

Ran a 3:42 marathon in 2019 and I am hoping to beat that in LA in 2025!

Sourdough

Lifelong pursuit

I was a little late to the sourdough train, but I have picked up the hobby and am continually honing my skills! Special thanks to my starter, Jeremy Breadimy, without them none of this would be possible.

Backpacking

Planet Earth

Nature stores the answers to some of life’s toughest challenges. We only need to slow down and listen to learn from our wise teachers.

BYU Concrete Canoe

Head Captain 2016-2018

This was forever ago, but I still love these memories! Yes, concrete can float :). Ask me about it, and I guarantee you’ll walk away loving concrete too.

Food!

Everyday

I love food! Trying new foods, restaurants, and recipes. Every month I try to accomplish one new food project. Most recent projects included homemade lasagna (even the ricotta), homemade croissants, homemade Korean BBQ (pictured).

Gardening

“until we can grieve for our planet we cannot love it—grieving is a sign of spiritual health. But it is not enough to weep for our lost landscapes; we have to put our hands in the earth to make ourselves whole again. Even a wounded world is feeding us. Even a wounded world holds us, giving us moments of wonder and joy.”

Robin Wall Kimmer

Friends and Family!

Without so many wonderful people in my support group I wouldn’t be who I am today, and I am grateful for that.

Pictured: My family was very involved with Japanese television in the 80’s and 90’s (lol random… I know), and this was a darling picture of us during a commercial for a brand of hot chocolate!
